Until I read this book, I just couldn’t get into being able to sit and read Think and Grow Rich, which is a highly recommended book. But I am so glad I picked up this book and read it all the way through. This is a book that I will be revisiting at least once a year. Think and Grow Rich for Women by Sharon Lechter takes a female approach to Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. All of the amazing content from Napoleon Hill is still there in this book, it has just been resummarized and written more in a modern day language, but also written for women. There are many more examples of these principles being used in real life in this book than the original, and every single example is from a woman.
The only man quoted in this book is Napoleon Hill. Sometimes I wish I had read this book earlier, but just like everything else on this journey, I know I come across everything that I need to at the best possible time.
My Biggest Takeaways from this Book
1. While it is good to read this book, reading both this book and the original book as part of a pair is what I really needed. So upon finishing this book, I was finally able to pick up the original book and sit down and read it, whereas for the past 2 years of owning this book, I couldn’t get past the first few pages.
2. The principles that Hill talks about in his book are ones that every single human needs to be able to integrate into their lives, but sadly, most don’t apply them, simply because they don’t know about them. So read this book, take notes, read the book again. Then reread it again and really apply these principles to your life and watch it change before you very eyes. The principles covered are very important principles. I’ve only applied a few of the principles so far and I’ve noticed major changes happening.
3. Men and women think very differently and that is one of the main reasons why Sharon wrote this book for women. Hill’s book was written for men, because back when Hill was writing, women didn’t work outside the home or own their own businesses or even deal with money. His research involved men following his principles. And now Sharon has written the book from a woman’s point of view and included research from women following these principles. It makes the book so much more relatable to women now.
Would I recommend this book?
Yes, yes and yes! Either read this book or Think and Grow Rich (or both!) if you really want to grow your wealth conscious mind, and if you own your own business. Think and Grow Rich is a very highly recommended book for those who own their own businesses and for very good reason. Hill knew what he was talking about when he wrote his books. It might have been way before our time, but the information is still very relevant today and can help you in many different ways. And most importantly, YOU have the power within you to create anything you want. But you have to be able to utilize that power. Hill knew this and applied it in his life, plus also did the research and learned about other men who had applied it as well. In this book, Lechter shares about women who have applied it in their lives.
